      John Felix Anthony Cena Jr. Better known as John Cena was born on April 23, 1977 to Carol and John Felix Anthony Cena in West Newbury, Massachusetts. Cena is the second of five children, he was raised a Catholic and attended the Central Catholic High School in Lawrence Massachusetts.

      Before transferring to a private prep boarding school. Caution Academy in Ashburn Ham, Massachusetts. Cena showed an early passion for sports and working out. He was often seen working in the gym, even after graduating from high school. After his graduation Cena attended Springfield college in Massachusetts to study exercise and physiology. While in college Cena played in N.C.A.A division free.

All American center and wore the number 54 on the college football team. He was also the team captain. In 1998 Cena graduated from college, began a degree in exercise, physiology and body movements

After which he pursued a career in body building and walked as a limousine driver. In 2000 Cena left Massachusetts against his father’s wishes to California in search of greener pastures as a bodybuilder. The transition was not easy task for him.

As he had just 500 in his pockets to make it across the country, and get settled to make ends meet. Cena worked as a toilet cleaner at Gold’s Gym in Venice Beach and turned his Lincoln continental into his leaving quarter.

Following a piece of advice by a wrestler. He meet at Gold’s Gym, Cena started training at ultimate pro wrestling (U.P.W). A former World Wrestling Entertainment development company in 2000. Cena’s asin’s to stardom was rapid on April 27, 2007. Cena won the U.P.W title in San Diego at California. On October 10, 2000 Cena made his unofficial Debut for the W.W.F on a smackdown tapping in the dark. Match against Mikey Richardson, unfortunately he lost the fight. He was given another chance in January 9, 2001 at a Smackdown taping in oakland California. This time he defeated Aaron Aguilera.

Later the same year the ambitious entertainer signed a development contract with a company to work at Ohio valley wrestling (O.V.W). During his time in O.V.W, cena wrestled under the ring name the prototype in 2002. he won and held the O.V.W heavy weight championship for three moons.

And the O.V.W southern Tag Team Championship which Rico Constantino for two months. First providing his mettle as a wrestler to look out for, later that year Cena made his debut appearance on W.W.E in match against Kurt-angle on July 27, 2002 which ended up with him losing.

In 2004 John Cena status as a celebrity began to develop when he defeated Big-Show to win the United States Championship. Cena defended and lost the title twice, he stayed out of action for two months as a result of the injury. He sustained when he defended his title against Khali too.

In 2005 and beyond Cena got tangled and controversies. He had falling-out with champion John Bradshaw Layfield, manager Eric Bischoff and fellow wrestlers Chris Jericho, edge and Omega. During this time he made some friends Cena became friends with Khali after they won a match with Jeff Hardy against edge, randy ortan and Johnny Nitro.

In 2007 Cena wrestled with Britney Spears X the rap start Kevin Federline. He lost the match thanks to some assistance from Omega, Kevin Federline. Later that night Cena avenged his loss by body slamming Kevin Federline backstage. That same year Cena defeated Omega in a match.

Being the first person to defeat this someone Omega. He also teamed up with Shawn Michaels and together they defeated the RKO tag-team Randy ortan and edge. He wrestled J.B.L, who he defeated at Judgment day and then one night stand in the first blood match. However J.B.L avenged his defeat and beat Cena at the New York city parking lot brow.

In august Cena was replaced by Rey Mysterio after he suffered a herniated disc in his neck which required surgery. According to reports Cena under went successive surgery to repair the herniated disc in his neck with Dr. Joseph maroon on august 25^th and as a result was out of action indefinitely.

Cena made his comeback at the November Survivor Series paper view events defeating Chris Jericho to win his first World Heavy Weight Championship. After defeating J.B.L at Royal Rumble. Cena lost the championship to edge, but later regained it at a rematch for the title at Wrestle Mania 25 in a triple threat match also involving Big-show which Cena won.

Cena lost the championship again to edge in a last man standing match at backlash. After interference from Big-show this resulted in a few between Cena and Big-show in which defeated Big-show at Judgment day and Extreme Rules in a submission match by applying the S.T.F.

In July Cena challenged for the W.W.E Championship. But was knocked out by the defendant champion Randy Orton. A month later Cena beats Orton to win his fourth W.W.E championship. But lost the title back to Orton in a Hell in a Cell match at the eponymous events.

Three weeks later Cena retains the championship after defeating Orton in a 60 Minutes. He went on to successfully defend the title against both Triple H and Shawn Michaels in a triple threat match at Survivor Series but lost it to Sheamus.

In 2009, Cena competed in a tournament to crown the 2009 superstar of the year. Defeating C.M Punk in the first round and Orton in the finals. Later that night to win the honour, he also won back the W.W.E Championship from Sheamus in a rematch on the final Raw.

In 2009, in his lost his career Cena has featured in several major W.W.E paper view events closing the company’s flagship annual event Wrestle Mania five times. Cena has won numerous championship in his career. He is the Five-time United States Champion and four-time World Tag team Champion. A W.W.E record 16 times world champion. A two-time Royal Rumble match winner and the money in the bank ladder match winner.

Cena is considered by peers and critics to be one of the Greatest professional wrestlers of all time. In July 2017 Cena  was dubbed a free agent by W.W.E. During the superstar shake-up meaning he would work for both the Raw and Smack Down brands. On November 29, 2017 Cena was awarded the Muhammad Ali Legacy Award winner by sports illustrated.

Apart from wrestling Cena has also made giant strides in the movie industry. In 2006 Cena played a lead role in W.W.E franchise movie titled the marine. It was Cena first movie appearance and not with standing the poor storyline and discrimination to the U.S Marines.

 Fans queued up to watch the movie. In 2009 he started in another W.W.E movie titled 12 rounds, which was completed during the time of his injury. In 2007 the champ also added recording artists to his resume as he released his debut rap album “you can’t see me” which debuted at number 15 on the U.S Billboard 200 charts.

While still active at W.W.E Cena made a couple of guest appearances on Jimmy Kimmel Live to promote his album. Cena also featured on popular shows like late Night with Conan O”Brien fuses celebrate his playlist Fox Sports Nets the best damn sports show period. My tv’s, G-force training camp and two appearances at MTV’s.

He co-presented with Hulk Hogan at the 2005 Teen Choice Awards was a guest judge. During the third week of the 2006 season of Nashville star and also appeared in 2007 nickelodeon U.K kids Choice Awards. 2007 Cena formed some tight bonds in his wrestling career some of his good friends and fellow wrestlers John Hennigan, Batista, Randy Orton, Carlito, Jeff and Mati Hadi whom he will have to fight.

Besides having a flourish in career. Cena is one who to be the only wrestler to have romantic affiliation with his female counterpart. In July 2009 Cena married his high-school girl friend Elizabeth but it end in divorce. In may 2012 after separating from his wife, he went on two dates fellow W.W.E superstar Nikki Bella.

On April 2, 2017 he proposed to Bella after they defeated the meze and murray’s in tag team match at Wrestle Mania 33. But the couple broke off the engagement in april 2018. the draw briefly reconciled before it was reported that they had gained gone their separate ways.
